A Little Weekend Reading

Just a brief one from me today as I'm flitting around from place to place- it's a jam packed couple of weeks here but I thought I'd leave you with some fantastic posts, recommendations and hot links to see you through a chilly weekend!

~ Now, I'm currently dipping my toes in so many several books but one that is holding my attention right now is bizarre and whimsical The Owl Killers by Karen Maitland. It is old fashioned fairy tale darkness at its finest! If it's a new release you're after I can't recommend The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton enough! It is sheer perfection and should be hitting the bookstands right about now.

~ My tv tips to marathon over the next few days are Derry GirlsRu Paul's Drag Race All Stars season 3 and whether it is bandwagony or not The End Of The F***ing World blew my mind for all its simplicity and honesty. That should keep you going.

~ Dream duo Liv Purvis and Charlotte Jacklin bring us the pilot episode of brand shiny new podcast The Fringe Of It. Fabulousness, friendships and excessive lampshades!

~ If you're here in the Netherlands or fancy a wee trip, the craft fair Handwerkbeurs Zwolle 2018 runs until Sunday, or head to The Fold Line for a creative run down of the month and be sure to check out their new facebook group for some excellent advice and some serious inspiration. If you're still feeling a little crafty you are more than welcome to have a mooch of my previous post Cool Britannia where I show my latest make, a Burda style skirt in dark red wool. It's a goodie.

~ And, since it's my birthday in a handful of days, I will be sure to take a leaf out of @livforcake's book and get whipping up a sugary treat for the big day.

~ Time for me to get back to it but I'll leave you with some fun nail bitingly good inspo for a colourfully fun weekend;
