Shake It // Winter Workout Playlist
Sometimes it takes more than a new pair of yoga pants to get me in the mood for exercise. I know it's incredibly important to keep in shape and to keep that oxygen a flowing and your heart a pumpin, but guys... it's a struggle. So as a way to boost morale and get me in the mood for kicking ass I've compiled a new fitness playlist.
Feel free to have a listen or follow via spotify or add any that inspire you to get your groove on to your own current track list. Be sure to let me know of any playlists of records that get you pumped and read to sweat it out as I'm always in need of updating my music (any excuse to postpone a workout!)
Time to sketch out a shiny new routine to go with my new yoga pants and playlist. I'm a devoted follower of Yoga With Adriene so that is always my go to warm up and cool down, but I'm thinking a HIIT from Fitness Blender. Do you guys have any suggestions or recommendations for me to try out?

Once More With Feeling // Handmade Gift Ideas
Whether you're getting a head start on festive preparation or have a special birthday to cater for; showing your appreciation and love for your family and treating them to something they will treasure has never been easier. Especially if you're looking to add a personal and thoughtful touch by gifting something unique and handmade!
Online resources such as Etsy make finding that perfect gift a breeze, whilst supporting smaller, independent businesses (hurray!)- but how can we take that personal extra sparkle to the next level? By having a go at an easy peasy DIY and making your homemade present yourself!
I've done the leg work for you and collected a round up of fabulous ideas, ranging from skill levels and varying in equipment needed. Have a browse, pencil yourself in an afternoon of crafting and get involved! Who knows, maybe you discover a love of creating something with your hands and learn a whole new set of skills- what's not to like?!

#NewVogue // A Celebration of Innovation
Vogue magazine is, for me, a crowning glory of British fashion and a celebration of all the hard work and creativity that goes into producing and promoting the hottest and latest new looks, as well as championing British fashion players, honouring timeless style and where politics, current events, economic and social issues all come together in contribution as to how we choose to present ourselves and the clothes we covet and admire.
With the steadily growing rise of street style, bloggers and vloggers, instagram stars, indie underground everyday people leading the trends, main stream media such as Vogue magazine look beyond the elite for creative inspiration. Also in a time of political uncertainty many outside elements effect this fast paced industry and we begin to see the tides of tradition turning, finally, as a more diverse and beautiful range of faces, body types and characters grace the pages of this treasured fashion archive. Which brings me perfectly to this exciting new chapter at the heart of the magazine.
"#NewVogue celebrates Great Britain above all else; the talented, diverse creatives who brilliantly represent it, both at home and on the world stage."
Friday 10th November sees the most anticipated issue of British Vogue hit the stands- the first edition with new editor-in-chief Edward Enninful behind the wheel. What better way to begin his reign that to invite the stunning Adwoa Aboah as December cover girl, photographed by Steven Meisel and styled by the boss himself.
This is an exciting time for the magazine and can only lead to further exploration of diverse beauty and to move forward in our search and enjoyment of boundary pushing fashion. In honour of applauding outstanding style I've dipped into the Vogue archives and selected some of my favourite and most legendary covers ranging from 2017 right back to 1917. Please take a moment to enjoy!

Krea Doe 2017 // Craft Fair Review
Yesterday I had the great pleasure of visiting craft extravaganza Krea Doe in Utrecht. A creative exhibition of hobby supplies, handmade pieces, walk in workshops, demonstrations and wall to wall inspiration! It is a yearly 5 day event that brings together makers and sellers, promotes small, local businesses, boosts creative mojo and offers the chance to find your next great project!
Whether you're a punk rock crochet queen, a jewellery making sophisticate or if paper crafts are more your bag, this exciting fair is for you! Besides being easily accessible and big bang for your bucks (the site is huge!) there's all kinds of fun to be had throughout the day. This year there were workshops galore including macrame, brush lettering, cupcake decorating and Tunisian crochet!
This colourful day out is also such a great opportunity to reignite the passion for a long ago, pushed aside hobby or the perfect chance to learn a new skill and find your dream medium. Just walking around the jam packed stalls it is impossible not to feel inspired by all of the creativity, to pick up some fabulous ideas for Christmas decorating and gifts, to support independent companies and to network amongst like minded fellow crafters! I love the atmosphere of community at this event and found that people were more than happy to explain their techniques and methods and to share their finely tuned knowledge.
I did really well to restrain myself from buying all of the things. Last year I picked up a few gorgeous treasures and this year found myself absorbing more ideas and influence rather than adding to my ever growing stash. Nether the less I walked away with a list as long as my arm of skills I'd love to either try from scratch or devote more time to improving and I have a skip in my step at the thought of getting stuck in!
All in all it was a truly wonderful day and a date I will continue to add to my diary every year. Feeling freshly motivated I intend to head into my studio space and get experimenting with some current ideas, stay tuned for an example or two of what I've been working on lately. If you're in the Utrecht area be sure to head over to the exhibition as it runs until 5th November and if not get your butt over to next years event! For now, my glorious gang, I wish you all a beautiful week!
