Older and Wiser

"How puzzling all these changes are! I'm never sure what I'm going to be, from one minute to another.” Lewis Carroll.

// “I cannot for the life of me understand why small children take so long to grow up. I think they do it deliberately, just to annoy me.” Roald Dahl //

“I suppose it's like the ticking crocodile, isn't it? Time is chasing after all of us.” J. M. Barrie.

  1. Title + quotes about time and growing up + balloons in the background of the photo = your birthday? If so Happy Birthday Lovely! If not, well consider it an early one for whenever it is haha ;)

Love Alice in Wonderland, Matilda and Peter Pan so all these quotes are wonderfully familiar to me. Though when I was smaller I never thought about the ticking crocodile as an allegory for time and ageing. Funny how you see these things as you get older isn't is?

    1. I think that's what makes these classic books so timeless, you read them at different stages in your life and take something from it each time.

And time is something that springs to mind when one celebrates a BIRTHDAY!! Heheheh!! Yes, it was indeedy my birthday : )

Thank you lovely lady : )

  2. Such great quotes, I've never thought about the ticking crocodile, it makes sense now :O

    1. Awesome to take a second look at something isn't it! Hidden layers of meaning everywhere!! xx
